Office and Accounting Manager

Everyone has an office with a door, and we work as close-knit team. Our growth is based on the quality of our work. Our biggest source of growth is referrals. Many of our clients have been with us for ten years or more. On average, our employees have been with us for more than eight years.

Position summary

Redbrick is searching for a candidate who can provide a range of administrative supports so that our busy consulting practice runs smoothly. This is an in-person position. We are open to flexible, part-time work hours for the right candidate, from 20 to 26 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Processing accounts payable and receivable.
  • Purchasing and supplier management.
  • Managing and tracking invoicing.
  • Administering payroll.
  • Filing, photocopying, office organization and management.
  • Providing general administrative support, as required.

Skills

  • Trustworthy and reliable.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Proficient in invoicing platform such as QuickBooks, FreshBooks or similar.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Previous experience working in a professional office environment – consulting/agency experience is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills. Knowledge of project management platforms is also a plus.

Position Summary

Redbrick is searching for a candidate who can inspire the confidence of clients and earn their trust. Our Account Manager supports all aspects of the business by providing high-quality client services and promoting the firm’s growth. This includes working directly with our clients who are senior managers, executives and professionals.

The successful applicant will work at Redbrick’s Mississauga office, with some flexibility to work remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver value for our clients by lead key files, including the development and implementation of strategic communications plans.
  • Provide hands-on media relations support to clients.
  • Research and write materials for stakeholder audiences, including presentations and speeches.
  • Develop and deliver issues management strategies and provide crisis communications support.
  • Manage complex, multi-faceted communications projects.
  • Work effectively with a variety of clients representing a broad range of fields.
  • Work effectively within teams of senior managers and professionals, including communicators, elected officials, business leaders, and legal, financial or administrative officers.

Must have

  • Integrity and good judgment.
  • At least five years of experience in a public relations consulting environment.
  • Exemplary writing skills.
  • Remarkable ability to communicate complex information in plain language.
  • Excellent organizational skills (planning and implementation).
  • Strong people and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to deliver issues management support and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proven ability to solve problems and deliver high quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team and independently.
  • Post-secondary degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Political Science, or a related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A valid driver’s license.

Good to have

  • Experience in media.
  • Experience working within the public sector.
  • Ability to use Adobe design products.
