Digital Marketing Coordinator – July 2020

Position summary

Redbrick is seeking a candidate with strong digital marketing and social media skills. This includes creating compelling content, monitoring social media accounts, and responding strategically to issues.

It also includes measuring effectiveness through data analysis, insights and reporting across social media channels. This role will also support Redbrick’s own social media presence and marketing efforts, including maintaining social media accounts, developing and writing marketing proposals, and tracking new business inquiries.

The position includes a range of administrative duties to help our busy consulting practice run smoothly. Approximately 20 per cent of the job will involve these duties. This is an entry level position with lots of room to grow and the opportunity to work with and learn from seasoned communications professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Creating compelling and strategic social media content and campaigns, including maintaining andmonitoring client social media accounts.
  • Maintaining Redbrick’s website and social media accounts.
  • Creating compelling marketing proposals to grow Redbrick’s business.
  • Managing, tracking and coordinating new business inquiries.
  • Assembling materials for meetings, presentations and training programs.
  • Administrative duties include:
  • Processing accounts payable and receivable.
  • Managing and tracking invoicing.
  • Filing, photocopying, office organization and management.
  • General administrative support, as required.

Skills

  • Trustworthy and reliable.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledgeable about existing and emerging social media channels.
  • Creative and strategic in developing and curating social media content, including some video editing and design skills.
  • Knowledge of social media data analytics.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and basic design programs like Canva or Adobe Spark.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Some previous experience working in a professional office environment. Administrative experience is an asset.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a small business setting

  • Managing and tracking invoicing.
  • Managing payroll.
  • Assembling materials for meeting, presentations and training programs.
  • Filing, photocopying, office organization and management.
  • General administrative support, as required.
